Jeannette and Matthew had a special story that they wanted incorporated into their wedding invitation – they were getting married the same day their parents had in 1983 (Sapp), and 1989 (Carco). The live oak tree on the invitation tells the story in its branches, and the brown and green color palette blend perfectly.
Creagh and Timothy’s invitation was my first one where I actually worked with a wedding planner, rather than a bride. It was a fun and smooth process, which was probably helped by the fact that the wedding planner is a friend of mine. The bride wanted a simple and elegant design. The finished product is absolutely lovely:
As we are ALREADY nearing August and the end of summer, fall is just around the corner (seriously, this summer has FLOWN by!). Pantone has chosen some lovely colors for this fall’s fashion trends, which again include the color of the year, “Tangerine Tango.”
Fall 2012 – Top 10 colors for women’s and men’s fashion
My favorites are Honey Gold, Ultramarine Green, Bright Chartreuse, and Rhubarb from the men’s section. Looking forward to adding them to my fall layering and accessories and maybe even fall and Christmas decor. This year needs to slow down a little bit…
As I said in a previous post, I was inspired to create a shop after I designed an 8×10 print for my sister-in-law’s Christmas gift. I have since created three additional verse prints, as well as a custom verse/quote option. The digital designs are printed on 8×10 white card stock, and mailed in a stiff photo mailer.
I can also design custom invitations, printables, logos, business cards and more if requested. I can even send you a jpg or PDF of the finished product and you can print it at your own leisure, either at home, at an online or local print shop, or even walmart or walgreens (depending on the type of project).
I hope to add more variety to my shop soon. I would love some input – let me know if you have any ideas for my next design project.
I was recently hired to design a wedding invitation based on the story of how the soon to be married couple had met. Although it was quite a challenge to fit all of the words on one card (and make them look pretty), I was SO happy with the results!
Here is the sweet story-style invitation for Diedra and Tyler:
